フリージアの花言葉

フリージアは、アヤメ科フリージア属の花の総称、もしくはFreesia refractaを指します。南アフリカで18世紀にオランダの植物学者によって発見されました。その後オランダで品種改良が進み、園芸品種が増えていきました。ヨーロッパでは冬の切り花として重要な花です。日本では菖蒲と水仙に似ていることから、菖蒲水仙とも言われています。その花の可憐さが人気で、花言葉もそれに合った「澄んだ心」です。
